Welcome to the 2024 Summer Leadership Conference where our community of leaders will gather to learn with and from each other, collaborate and network. Our theme, Leading with Purpose: Setting Sail for Success, captures the heart of our shared vision. Like skilled captains setting a deliberate course, we must steer through the shifting seas with a firm dedication to our goals. Our purpose is our North Star, showing the way through the waters of challenges and opportunities. Purpose gives our actions meaning, keeps us connected to our core values, and drives us toward our vision of excellence.

Registration is currently open for all attendees. Registration closes on July 9.

Generative AI is everywhere—students, teachers, and staff are not only using it daily, but actively shaping its evolution. District leaders face a critical decision: hesitate too long to control their own AI narrative, and the district risks detrimental harm to the student learning process and increased equity gaps. On the other hand, hastily creating a top-down policy or tinkering without intentional strategy risks an endless cycle of effort with no impact—on top of risks to student learning. District leaders must shift their focus from merely trying to understand generative AI to proactively guiding how teachers and students use this technology to solve existing problems. This presentation will provide district leaders with concrete examples of how to integrate generative AI in ways that don’t just save time, but truly transform the way teachers teach and students learn.
